What is Propel My Life?

Like the “Federal Emergency Alert (Broadcast) System” Propel My Life is a Proactive Wellness Notification System for at-risk individuals — the elderly, those managing chronic illness or recovering from a major health event and anyone, at any age, who needs love, encouragement and support to stay well.
Propel Health’s PROPEL MY LIFE application and platform:

(1) aggregates data from smart IoT sensor devices
(2) empowers the individual to define their personal thresholds
(3) lets you determine who you prefer to be proactively notified when you need someone to take action

How long does it take from when my measurement is taken on my smart device until it is displayed on my Propel My Life dashboard?

Once Propel Health receives the data, the measurement will be displayed in real time.

How long does it take from when my measurement is taken on my smart device until the notifications are sent?

Once Propel Health receives the data, notifications are sent within 5 minutes.

How will Propel Health improve my health?

Propel Health provides you with information from smart devices that align with your preferences and goals. This information allows you to make informed decisions and collaborate with your care providers in an empowered manner. Because we communicate with you proactively, when an element of your health moves in an unhealthy direction you can make the necessary changes to transit back into a normal range to stay well.

What do I get with my order from Propel Health?

You will receive access to your personalized “Propel My Life” application and proactive notification system. You will also receive 2 smart devices – Blood Pressure & Heart Rate Monitor, Body Analysis Scale, and the mobile application for these devices.   

Will my health insurance cover my Propel Health purchase?

All insurances are different.  You will need to check with your provider directly to verify whether or not they will cover your Propel Health kit.

Is my health data secure with Propel Health?

We take the security of your data seriously. This is done through a login process which requires the choosing of an account name and password to guarantee secure access. You identify who will be notified, what they can see, and who has access to your information. Our applications are written to meet the highest security levels while the information is at rest or in transmission to you. We store your information within a healthcare specific HiTrust cloud.

When will my Propel Health pre-order ship?

Your pre-ordered kit will ship in September 2017.

What is your policy regarding equipment returns?

We provide a 30-day warranty for equipment replacement.

What is your policy on service cancellation?

You will be able to cancel your service at the end of your next billing cycle.

Do you ship internationally?

We are currently only shipping within the United States, and are considering plans in the future to expand internationally. Please sign up on our website if you would like to receive updates to know when we decided to ship overseas.

How hard is Propel Health to set up?

Propel Health devices and applications are intuitive and easy to set up.  Each kit is shipped with an accompanying instruction booklet to guide you through the process.  But should you find additional assistance is needed, you can contact one of our helpful and friendly Customer Service Representatives at the number provided.

Shipping information for a Propel Health kit?

The current box size, for a base Propel Health kit, is 18 inches x 14 inches x 4 inches. You will also receive tracking information via email.

What happens if my home loses power?

You can still use your devices based on the amount of battery available, however you may not be able to transmit the information gathered to the Propel My Life application due to likely loss of Wi-Fi. We recommend that when your power is restored to take new readings and ensure your information is synced between your devices and the Propel My Life application.

Is internet required to use Propel Health?

Yes, Propel Health requires an internet connection.

Can more than one user connect with Propel Health devices?

Yes, multiple people can use the devices with their application. However, each user must have an individual account with Propel Health to use the Propel My Life application.

What information does Propel My Life collect from the smart devices?

  1. Blood Pressure and Heart Rate
  2. Weight, BMI, Fat Percentage, Muscle Weight, Bone Weight, Water Percentage, Visceral Fat Percentage, Basal Calories

What kind of devices does Propel My Life work on?

Personal computers using an internet browser. Smart Apple iOS and Android devices, which include tablets and mobile phones.

Can notifications from Propel My Life go to any device?

Propel My Life notifications are sent via text, email and voice call.

  • Normal : Email
  • Out-of-range : Text message and Voice call
  • At-Risk : Email, Text message, and Voice call

How do I purchase the Propel My Life app?

The Propel My Life application is included with the purchase of your “Propel My Life” monthly service fee.

What will be included in the Propel My Life notifications?

You determine the level of information included in the notification, for each individual contact.

  • Notification with no data included
  • Notification with data included
  • Access to your dashboard
  • Summary report with data included

Will Propel My Life notification features work on a cell phone that is not a smart phone?

Yes, the Propel My Life notification features, both voice and text messages, will be receivable on any cell phone.

Do the smart devices work without access to the Propel My Life app?

Yes, the devices will work without the Propel My Life app, however you must have the Propel My Life app to send automated notifications based on the information collected by your smart devices.

Do you have a redundant system that protects my information when it is on the move and how long until it fails over?

Yes, we have a redundant system with automatic fail-over. We have a service level of 99.999% reliability.

How many people can I have on my love and support team list?

You can add as many contacts as you like to your love and support team.

How do you get my information from my devices?

Your devices share your readings using a bluetooth connection.  The information is then transmitted to the cloud, which is incorporated into your Propel My Life profile and dashboard.

Can I have different people with different notification levels?

Yes, you can customize the Propel My Life application in many ways, including setting up who will receive notifications and what type of notifications they will receive.  You can also choose who will receive weekly summary report emails.

When do you send a notification?

Notifications are sent after the device reading has been taken and the data is compared with your personal notification preferences.

How much time is needed to set up my devices and contacts?

Setup time will vary by consumer, but it is unlikely that it will take you more than 15 to 30 minutes to make your way through the initial setup process.  Our customer service team is always available to help if needed.

How can I contact your customer support team?

Our customer support team is available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Eastern, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. You may use our website and toll free number to contact us.

Are you HIPAA compliant?

Propel Health and Propel My Life are HIPAA compliant.

Can I add other devices I purchased to my account?

We do not currently have this feature. This will be available in the future as it requires the device manufacturer to allow Propel Health to link to your account.

Can I add my doctor or nurse to my account to receive notifications and reports?

Yes, you can add your doctor and/or nurse as a support team member on your account. They will be able to receive the same notification information like any of your other contacts.
